I love all things chocolate, travel, the ocean and puns. On this site I share my journey and tools through health, balance, life insights and more!

My mission is to create awareness, inspire action, trigger change and empower you

I created "Whole & Unleashed" to inspire you to take a step back and question what's working in your life. Here you'll find tools to connect to your inner wisdom, hone into your strengths and unleash your genius. From simple recipes, easy yoga videos to actionable tools and self care ideas.

It all started...

Towards the last year of university. I was highly stressed, barely sleeping (like any student!) and suffering from severe heartburn. It seemed like such a simple thing. Yet it restricted my meal times, socializing events and at its worst it was extremely painful. It felt like a cat was clawing from within. I went to the doctor and she told me the only way to deal with heartburn was by taking an $80 medication every month for the rest of my life. That was the last drop.

What could I possibly be doing wrong? What is my body trying to tell me? I was feeling helpless, hopeless and desperate. So I started reading everything I could about heartburn, stomach acidity, juicing, veganism, macrobiotics, body ph, alkaline foods and a lot more.

It took a couple of years for my stomach to heal and a lot of trial and errors to see what worked for me.
It's amazing how little we know about our health and bodies. We're taught to go to the doctors when we're not feeling well as opposed to listening our bodies. To numb our pain instead of facing our fears. To ignore our desires because success is measured by the job and the money you make.

When did we lose the connection to ourselves?!

Because we should be able to take care our ourselves, to understand our bodies so we can work with it (and not against it)
To understand our desires

I enrolled in the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. They taught me innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories; everything from Ayurveda, gluten-free, and Paleo, to raw and more. How to work with people in figuring out what works best for each person and their goals.

I believe in balance. In our bodies' unique biochemistry. One man's poison is another man's treasure. No two people are the same. It's not about restrictions, counting calories or following the latest trends. It's about finding what works for you. Being healthy doesn't have to be a struggle, and certainly not a chore!
