planner: The desire map planner 2018 daily

I am SO EXCITED to use my 2018 planner. Ever since I started reading Danielle Laporte's books, my life has changed. My goals are not just to-do lists but goals with more soul. Stemming from her book "The Desire Map" this journal is meant to help you connect your feelings with what you want to accomplish. Taking away all the noise and instead helping you focus on what truly matters.

planner: The desire map planner 2018 Weekly

Weekly version of the daily planner. As described on their site "The WEEKLY planner is for the big dreamers, Creatives, and entrepreneurs — the planner-types who want a bird’s eye view of their week. This lush planner is more than a weekly organizer (because you are more than your to-do list.) This planning system incorporates your inner and outer worlds; your gratitude and your goals; your Core Desired Feeling into your daily/weekly regime."

JOURNAL: The 5 minute journal

For those who are new to journalling or simply want to go with something light. I love this because it can easily help you reconnect to yourself with just 5 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes at night. A little bit of mindfulness goes a long way!

HEALTH  & WELLNESS

StralaAmsterdam2017-6.jpg

feel good: strala yoga

I started doing Strala Yoga for almost a couple of years now. Even before I knew what Strala Yoga is. Tara Stiles (co-founder of Strala) has been a huge inspiration for me. From her early 'how to yoga' articles to her youtube videos I've been learning so much about self love and care. She has tons of free yoga videos for everything. Warning: It might change your life! (Strala shop here)

VIDEOS & INSPIRATION: MArie Forleo

I've been following Marie Forleo for a couple of years. She has an amazing archive of videos on life, entrepreneurship, motivation and so much more. Her videos are fun, insightful and most importantly with concrete actionable steps you can take. From dreams to goals to reality!

MEDItation: Headspace

I've tried a couple of meditation apps. Headspace is one of my favourites because of their adorable animations but also because of the different kinds of packages they offer. You can customize the time you want to meditate, guided vs. non guided and a lot of meditation techniques are provided. You can also download and use it offline!

SEVENLY

I fell in love with this company years ago and dreamed of working for them (in my design days). Based on a simple, core belief that ‘People Matter,’ the Sevenly team activated the now global ‘cause art’ movement and started creating 7-day cause campaigns, inviting customers to purchase “advocacy art, apparel and accessories” that donate to non-profits. Each campaign and every product would also create conversations.

CAUSEBOX

I found out about Causebox through Sevenly, years ago when they used to be the same company. Causebox is a seasonal delivery of 6-8 hand-curated products for women. Every product has a story and makes the world better. They partner with different charities around the world and support small businesses. I get excited overtime I receive the box. It's subscription based and I learn so much about the people behind each piece. Here's to more conscious products!

SATYA Jewellery

I love jewellery with intentions! Not only are they gorgeous unique pieces but they also have different affirmations, stones and meanings behind each. I got the abundance necklace with a ruby stone when I was in the midst of my career change and love it. Satya Jewelry donates a percentage of all sales to the Satya Foundation which provides help & opportunities to children all over the world

#Truthbomb Deck

Sometimes, just one sentence can change your mind, break open your heart, soothe your soul, or hit you like a #Truthbomb. Great conversation starter as well!

#TruthBomb Bundle

One #Truthbomb can go a long way: minds changed, hearts opened, souls soothed. 2 Volumes of #truthbomb in this bundle + The Brave Love necklace reminds you that Love (always) rewards the Brave.

FOOD HUGGERS

These are my kitchen essentials! Why? Because they keep my fresh produce, fresh! Sometimes you just want half an avocado but you don't want the entire thing to turn brown. This has saved so many fruits and veggies for me.

BOOKS

firestarter.png

book: fire starter sessions

A guide to creating success on your own terms, The Fire Starter Sessions reframes popular self-help and success concepts to cut through dull thinking and fear, and get straight to one’s core desires, pragmatism, and courage — and burn some illusions to a crisp. I love this book because it connects you from the inside out.

desiremap.png

book: THE DESIRE MAP

A guide to creating goals with soul. From figuring out what you want to creating actionable steps to making your dreams reality. I love this book not only because it asks all the right (and tough) questions but it also challenges you to break down what might prevent you from succeeding. Most importantly it connects feelings with goals.

whitehottruth.png

book: WHITE HOT TRUTH

Rooted in compassion, feminism, and spiritual activism White Hot Truth is an intimate and (hilariously) relatable account of self-help adventures gone wrong and breakthroughs that made it all right, Danielle LaPorte cheerleads us, Soul Seekers, to tap our own wisdom by having a good laugh, and maybe a good cry, at all the ways we’ve been trying to improve on our self-improvement.

Daring-Greatly.png

book: Daring Greatly

This book is just wow. I can say with certainty that Daring Greatly turned what I thought was a weakness (vulnerability) into strength. I buried my vulnerable side growing up. It was simply how I was raised. I'm an emotional person, in tune with everyone's else feelings and pain but oppressed my own. Brene with this book dared us to confront that 'dark' side within and it was eyeopening, painful and so beautiful.

RisingStrong.png

book: Rising Strong

Another amazing book by Brené Brown. This book is about owning up to your story. The good, the bad, every part of us. When we deny our stories, they define us. When we own our stories, we get to write the ending. Brené talks about her 3 phase process: The reckoning, the rumbling and the revolution that helps us bounce back every time.

BravingtheWilderness.png

book: Braving the wilderness

I read Braving the Wilderness right after I left my full-time job. It was a scary and daunting time (a leap of faith). This books talks about the quest for true belonging and the courage to stand for what we believe in even though when that means standing alone. Such a wonderfully brilliant, empowering book. Full of vulnerability, truth and courage. For anyone who's starting/in the middle of their own journey, you are not alone. This book is for you!

bigmagic.png

book: Big Magic

“You can measure your worth by your dedication to your path, not by your successes or failures.” - Elizabeth Gilbert, Big Magic. Loved every second of this book. Elizabeth's take on the process of creativity from inspiration to reality. We all have a desire to create, it’s how we nurture that part of us. Which can ultimately free us or chain us forever. If you're looking for some magic, creativity this book is for you!

startwithwhy.png

book: start with why

Simon Sinek breaks down the most important element in everything we do. His famous TED talk does a great job summarizing the importance of having your why. The famous golden circle where you start with why > how > what. I've probably shared this video and recommended this book more than a thousand times. It's helped me anchor my why in everything I do and understand the core of my essence. He has a new book call "Find your why" haven't read it yet but I'm sure it's great too!

many-lives.png

book: many lives many masters

This book by Dr. Brian Weiss definitely will challenge your spiritual side. I've always been a firm believer of karma, reincarnation, God, universe...a spiritual mutt (like Daniele Laporte would say) Somehow this book resonated with something deep in me. It gave me a sense of peace, warmth and understanding. Somehow help me figure out my place in this world. If you're interested in reincarnation, past lives this is the book for you.
